Waking up to Cooler Weather (Original post from Positive Mornings 9/4/2011)

We don’t have air conditioning, and all though some may think it weird, I thank God for it. Utilities are high in Butler. Our electric bill, which includes water, sewer and trash pick up runs around $200.00 a month. I can’t even imagine what it would have been like if we ran an air conditioner all summer.

Last night was so much cooler, that we slept good. We have a fan in the bedroom window. This is the only window left open because it doesn’t face the sun. There is no use in opening the other windows during the day, and we don’t like to leave windows open at night. It’s too much of a temptation to certain types of individuals, and yes, this little town of 4000 has misled individuals just like the bigger cities.

I felt there was a lot to thank God for this morning, the cooler air first, sleeping better last night, a migraine that was gone, and waking up to a fresh new day allowing us to decide to make it a positive day.

We aren’t rich by any means, but I have found over the last 3 years since I was laid off and have been fighting for my disability, that if God will supply everything you need, when you need it. I can’t tell how many times we have gotten so tight on money and had a large bill to pay, that God has provided the money before any disconnection or late notice would arrive.

Praise God in the morning, he is a positive God and wants to bless us, but in return he wants us to totally turn over to him all of the things that we, ourselves cannot take care.

GOD IS GOD ALL TIME, GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD
