Waking up in pain every morning is not pleasant, but you did wake up. it’s something you learn to live with because these bodies are temporary. They will not last forever, but the body your receive when you leave this earth will never be in pain or afflicted with illness.

I’ve gotten quite used to it, especially over the last several years. I’ve had to learn that I can’t always do the same things I used to do. Incurable diseases happen everyday, it’s how you choose to handle them that makes the big difference in your life.

I recall Kim quite often when I am not feeling so hot. This little woman lived in a nursing home. Ken and I started visiting her when her family could no longer afford to have a disabled van bring her to church. Kim was born with debilitating arthritis and two club feet. She had never walked in her whole life. It had all been spent in a wheel chair or bed.

We went to visit her, to pray for her, to give her some inspiration and cheer her up, but it worked just the opposite. She was always in a good mood and was always praising the lord for the things she had. We never once visited her that she would complain, be depressed or angry.

I was always inspired after visiting her. If this woman could be so faithful and cheerful in her situation, then what right do I have to complain. She had been denied many normal activities during childhood, growing up and as an adult, but never once showed remorse for her situation.

Think of all the Kims in the world when you wake up in pain or illness. Praise God for the health that you do have. In all things, be thankful to the father in heaven that takes care of us. When I think of Kim, then these migraines and aches and pains throughout my body are nothing.

Thanking God every day for my life and his blessings. God bless you all, Lori
