To God be the Glory, Great things he has done. So loved he the world that he gave us his son, who yielded his life, an atonement for sin and opened the life gate that all may go in. (Refrain) Praise the lord, Praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice, let the people rejoice. O come to the father thru Jesus his son, and give him the glory, great things he has done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, to every believer the promise of God; the vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus pardon receives. (Praise the lord…)

Great things he hath taught us, great things he hath done and great our rejoicing thru Jesus the Son, but purer and higher and greater will be our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see ( Praise the Lord…)

I love this song,  it has always touched my heart, but I wonder among all those who claim to be Christians, how often do you actually give God the glory, how often do you give credit where credit is due.

I cannot condemn anyone for neglecting to do this for I must confess that I have been guilty of not giving him the credit for the things he has done. How often do you pray for healing, financial blessings, spiritual insight and more and when the prayers are answered, you try to dissect the events that led to the answer? Do you give all the credit to scientists and doctors, or your own intuitive and logical mind functions? Do you say “I thought of the solution myself” or “the doctors knew the right medicine or procedure to use”?

If this is you, step back and take a close look at what happened. How do the doctors diagnose, prescribe, operate or treat? Where did they get this knowledge? Only by the grace of God and his willingness to allow our doctors, researchers and scientists to discover these medicines and procedures do we get immediate, miraculous results.

Don’t be guilty of neglecting to give credit where credit is due.  “I will give back your health again and heal your wounds. Jeremiah 30:17

So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.” (Exodus 23:25)

If you prayed for your finances and all of a sudden find everything dropping into place or receive an unexpected amount of money, do you give yourself or another person the credit? The way the human mind functions, the ability to see problems and search for resolutions comes from God, because he created you.

James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God,who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.  Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
